Here's what it looks like:
The spectator freely selects a card, which is then lost in the deck. You place two Jacks face up on the deck and toss them into your other hand. The moment the Jacks land in the your hand, a face down card appears between them, which is revealed to be the chosen card.
Next, you leave the chosen card on top and place the face-up Jacks in the middle of the deck. You then toss the chosen card into your other hand and the two face-up Jacks materialize either side of the card.
